A warm fire, good food, fine fellowship .......
Yes, it rained and got chilly in the mountains Saturday, so the Humpback Picnic area plans got shifted to the CCC Pavilion at Sherando. Thanks to the Forest Service for making this wonderful shelter available to us. There are pictures, but no captions ..... so feel free to create your own!

We can't end with a scary insect pic ..... so one more look at that cheerful, warm fire ......
Many thanks to the 'picnic crew' at the pavilion, the cooks who obviously did a great job, those who traveled to see friends, and the volunteers & maintainers who put in a day working on the trail (in the rain) before the picnic.
