View from Greenstone Overlook around 5:15 p.m.
The 'plan' was for all crews to be back at the Humpback Visitor's Center at 5:00. The New 'Root' 66 Crew, working on Section 10, considered themselves very fortunate indeed to be off trail and back at their cars at 5:01! As we headed north for the 3 mile drive to reunite with the other crews and put our tools away, the view west caught our eye and we stopped at Greenstone Overlook for some pictures. The clouds off in the distance were just gorgeous ..... unfortunately, the picture just does not do the cloud formations justice. Other bright foliage colors were abundant at the overlook, so we took some pictures of those as well! It was a beautiful day on the BRP and the AT.
