At sunrise, watching the world wake up and the geese fly from the dock at the Lake.
Labor Day has come to be celebrated by most Americans as the symbolic
end of the summer. To mark the end of a busy summer on the AT, I'm doing something entirely different on R2R for the Labor Day Weekend: a very non-AT/maintainer post. As much as I love the mountains, I'm heading south instead of west and taking a break at the Lake ..... no weeds to whip, lots of water (and not a waterbar in sight), gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, fun in the sun, and some serious relaxing.
Wishing you all a wonderful Labor Day Holiday Weekend .....
safe travels and we'll see you in September!

Ahhhh, coffee on the dock as the sun rises higher.
A beautiful day ........
.... even the moon is still hanging around.
Remember Trail Maintenance Volunteer 'Eva' ?
Eva likes taking a break at the Lake, too. Here she is in action, with her best buddy 'June' cheering her on!
We all wish we had Eva's energy ..... sigh.
Days at the Lake end as they begin .......
..... on the dock, watching the geese fly.
